UE Local 1477 needs your help

Drivers in Colorado and New Mexico, there are vacancies on the Union’s Executive Board. The UE Local 1477 bylaws allow the Executive Board to appoint members in good standing to open positions, the ones listed below are vacant.

What does the job take? Short descriptions are listed by each of the positions, but generally, all members of the executive board participate in a monthly Executive Board (EB) conference call that runs up to 1.5 to 2 hours long. EB members might field calls from drivers and or other leaders as issues come up.

– Vice President and Recording Secretary is a voting member that records the major decisions of the EB voting, paying of Union expenses, stewards reports, financial reports and so on.

– Chief Steward Colorado works with other stewards to ensure the contract is being defended, assists other stewards, is a voting EB member.

– At Large Member Colorado & New Mexico are voting members of the EB, assists the EB on projects or bargaining or other Union events.
